Dak Lak is a province with diversity in ethnic and religious composition, with the proportion of ethnic minorities accounting for over 25.06% of the population (out of a total of more than 3.3 million people). Some ethnic groups have a large population such as: E De (427,736 people, accounting for 12.93%), Nung (90.971 people, accounting for 2.75%), Tay (66,645 people, accounting for 2.02%), M'Nong (56,485 people, accounting for 1.71%)...
In the atmosphere of the whole country welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, ethnic minorities in Dak Lak place high expectations on strategic decisions and wish the Party and State to continue to care for, take care of, and improve the material and spiritual lives of ethnic minorities in the area.
Mr. Ksor Quy (resident in Dak Lak province) shared: "People expect the 14th Congress to continue to affirm and deepen the policy of investing in infrastructure development in ethnic minority areas. Roads, electricity, clean water, schools, health stations, digital infrastructure are essential factors to shorten the development gap between remote and isolated areas and urban areas. When infrastructure is improved, the opportunity to access social, educational, health and information services of people will be enhanced, creating a foundation for comprehensive development.
With firm belief in the leadership of the Party, ethnic minorities in Dak Lak province are heading towards the 14th Congress with a spirit of solidarity, responsibility and great expectations. People believe that the policies passed at the Congress will continue to open up a new development path, thereby bringing Dak Lak in particular and ethnic minority areas nationwide in general to develop faster, more sustainably, rich in identity and increasingly prosperous and happy.
Ms. Nay H'Dior (resident in Ea Hiao commune) also placed high expectations on the Party continuing to consolidate the great national unity bloc, ensuring national defense, security and social order and safety in the Central Highlands. According to her, political and social stability is a prerequisite for development. Ethnic minorities believe that the Party will have correct policies to promptly solve problems arising at the grassroots level, take care of the material and spiritual life of the people, and not leave anyone behind.
Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, affirmed: "The 14th National Party Congress is of particular importance in the new development phase of the country, when the requirements for growth quality, governance efficiency and sustainable development are increasingly high. For Dak Lak province, the 14th Congress is not only of general orientation but also an important political basis for the locality to complete its long-term development vision, suitable to reality, especially in the context of expanding the multi-regional development space after consolidation".
