Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ton Hoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the People's Foreign Friendship Association of China emphasized that the friendship between China and Vietnam is very deep.
"We are both comrades and brothers. What makes us extremely touched is that the senior leaders of the two Parties and States always appreciate the friendship between the two peoples, attach great importance to people-to-people exchanges and directly direct and promote cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two sides" - Mr. Ton Hoc Khanh emphasized.
According to Mr. Ton Hoc Khanh, the theme of the 13th Vietnam-China People's Forum is "75 years of Vietnam-China Friendship: Building a more solid people's foundation". This is also the consistent goal that the People's Foreign Friendship Association of China has always persistently pursued. People's diplomacy has always been highly valued by the Party and State of China.
On this occasion, the Vice President of the People's Foreign Friendship Association of China pledged to continue to closely coordinate with the Union of Vietnamese Friendship Organizations to jointly implement the common programs set out by the leaders of the two countries, jointly organize meetings between the people and youth of the two countries, the People's Festival of China and Vietnam, the People's Festival on the border between China and Vietnam, thereby contributing to promoting and deepening the relationship between the two organizations in particular and the people of the two countries in general.
Speaking at the reception, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front expressed her pleasure at meeting with Chinese and Vietnamese delegates within the framework of the 13th Vietnam - China People's Forum. On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai sent her respectful, warm greetings, and sincere thanks to the delegates of the two countries for their very important contributions to the people's forum and the Vietnam - China friendship over the years.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that the 13th Vietnam-China People's Forum was held in a special and meaningful context: The two countries are conducting practical activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-China friendship relationship and there are many activities to deploy the common perception of the leaders of the two Parties and two States on the relationship for the comprehensive strategies of Vietnam - China.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that through the discussion sessions of the forum, delegates and scholars discussed in depth on topics, especially deepening the theme of 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam; issues on the theory of the country's governance model; issues on development cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, science and technology and education and training.
In addition, the delegates also proposed many solutions and mechanisms to promote the effectiveness of diplomatic and people's foreign affairs activities of the two countries, as well as contribute to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai acknowledged the important contributions of the People's Foreign Friendship Association of China and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations to the process of building and transforming the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China. The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front believes that the two organizations will continue to be a bridge between the people of Vietnam and the people of China, making people's diplomacy truly one of the three main pillars of Vietnamese diplomacy, along with party foreign affairs and state diplomacy.
The Vietnam - China People's Forum is a people-to-people dialogue mechanism initiated by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the People's Foreign Friendship Association of China since 2010, and has been held 13 times. The forum is held annually, alternately in the two countries, becoming one of the important cooperation mechanisms for the two sides to discuss measures to promote Vietnam - China friendship. The 13th Vietnam-China People's Forum took place from November 23-27, including a number of activities in Hanoi and Quang Ninh province.
