Nearly 123 billion VND to support Nghe An people affected by floods

Nghe An - As of 10:00 a.m. on August 2, organizations and individuals have registered to donate 122.5 billion VND to help people in flooded areas.

On August 2, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province said that as of 10:00 a.m. on the same day, the total amount of money registered by organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to support people affected by floods was 122,579,724,399 VND.

Of these, VND 78,796,656,677 has been transferred to the provincial Relief Fund account. The commune level continues to keep 14,029,210,722 VND in relief funds for emergency support according to reality.

In addition, the quantity of goods converted into money received is 3,939,300,000 VND. Currently, there are still 25,814,557,000 VND that organizations and individuals have registered for support but have not yet transferred.

Information on receiving and allocating relief resources will continue to be periodically updated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province at 10:00 and 16:30 every day on the website and official social networking platforms of the Provincial Front.

In addition, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society has also received money and relief goods for flood areas worth 3.25 billion VND.

These are numbers that demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and sharing difficulties with people in flooded areas of the people across the country for Nghe An.

The flood that occurred from July 21 to 25, 20025 in the mountainous communes of the western part of Nghe An killed 4 people, injured 4 people, nearly 7,500 houses were destroyed, washed away, damaged; traffic infrastructure, schools, healthcare... suffered serious damage; total economic damage was about VND 3,635 billion.

In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.
