On the evening of December 5, the 3rd National Press Award Ceremony on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas of Vietnam - 2025 and the Writing Contest to learn about the 95-year tradition of the Vietnam Farmers' Union were held (1930 - 2025).

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, comrade Luong Quoc Doan said that 2025 is a year with many important events for the country. Joining in the exciting and heroic atmosphere of the nation, journalists have also gone through a year of hard work, trying and reaping many successes. In the past few days, reporters and journalists have not been afraid of danger or difficulties to rush into work in the harsh flood areas of our Central region, promptly bringing the most authentic information and images at the scene, about relief work and overcoming the consequences of floods. The journey of reporters and journalists over the past year has been the perseverance, dedication, enthusiasm, and creativity to bring articles, footage, audio, and vivid images of the picture of Vietnam's agriculture, farmers, and rural areas.

According to comrade Luong Quoc Doan, this year's National Journalism Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas has nearly 1,900 entries from hundreds of press agencies nationwide and more than 480 entries in the writing contest to learn about the 95-year tradition of the Vietnam Farmers' Union. Each work is a topic to analyze the results, limitations, and most urgent problems facing agriculture, farmers, and rural areas today; at the same time, propose solutions to resolve them through action, through specific mechanisms and policies.
Through the summary of the contest, the Organizing Committee found that reporters, journalists, and press agencies have always accompanied and stood side by side with Vietnamese farmers and farming classes throughout the past period, especially in 2025 with many difficulties and challenges. Through articles, TV and radio reports and reports, there has been a panoramic, vibrant, innovative, and creative picture of a green agriculture, the image of new-generation farmers, and the picture of modern and civilized new rural areas.
Most of the works have closely followed the breath of life and the transformation of the country to enter a new era, especially the works have strongly expressed the picture of "digital transformation" through literature and writing, presented in line with the theme of this year's season: "Breakthrough in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in agriculture and rural areas" in accordance with the content of Resolution 57 of the Politburo. There have been many press works, radio and television programs that have been invested in and produced elaborately with diverse content, from field practice to issued mechanisms and policies.
The press works participating in the contest have well demonstrated the role of "policy-based", specifically policies on transforming green agriculture, circular economy towards rapid and sustainable development, works with diverse and rich content paint a panoramic picture of the strong development of agriculture in the recent period, contributing to the country's socio-economic growth target at a high level and reaching the double-digit mark in the coming years.

Not only reflecting the positive aspects, the press works participating in this competition also demonstrate the spirit of fighting against the negative and negative aspects in agriculture and rural areas such as deforestation; problems of trading and hunting for wild and rare animals; about counterfeit goods and counterfeit goods in agricultural, forestry and fishery... thereby, contributing to the timely fight against and prevention of violations affecting society, contributing to protecting sustainable agricultural production, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of farmers.
The press works participating in this year's award have demonstrated their role in social supervision and criticism with many articles and radio and television programs that go into depth, reflecting and analyzing difficulties in mechanisms and policies for agriculture, farmers and rural areas such as the issue of applying science and technology; on capital, credit, agricultural insurance... At the same time, organize to collect opinions to participate in giving, proposing, and contributing to help state management agencies promptly come up with solutions and policies to promptly resolve the problems for the development of agriculture; the prosperity and happiness of farmers and a civilized and humane countryside, emphasized comrade Luong Quoc Doan.
Author group: Ngo Van Cuong, Bui Thi Dieu Thom, Dinh Xuan Hiep - Lao Dong Newspaper won the Consolation Prize at the 3rd National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Vietnam for the work "Smuggled Chinese yellow oysters, masquerading as Vietnamese goods, deceiving consumers".
This year, the Organizing Committee received 1,866 entries to the National Press Award on Agriculture, Farmers and Rural Areas. The Jury selected 34 most outstanding entries to award 2 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 6 C prizes, 10 Encouragement prizes and 12 Special prizes, with a total prize value of nearly 500 million VND. For the writing contest to learn about the 95 years of the Vietnam Farmers' Union's tradition, the 11 best works were honored with 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes and 5 Encouragement prizes.
