On January 24, 2025, the Politburo issued Decision No. 245-QD/TW establishing the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations. This is an important milestone in innovating the Party's leadership method towards the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned tasks by the Party and State.
Proactively orienting ideology in the process of renovating the organizational apparatus
The outstanding contribution of the Party Committee's propaganda and training sector is to quickly establish an ideological work order in a new Party Committee with a wide scope, many types of organizations and diverse gathering subjects.
The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Party Committee and the propaganda system at all levels have proactively advised, thoroughly grasped, propagated, and implemented resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the Central Government, focusing on arranging the apparatus, developing science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, perfecting institutions and socio-economic development.
Propaganda work is associated with solving ideological problems arising in the process of renovating organization, personnel and operating methods; strengthening official information, clarifying the goals and meanings of the policy, thereby limiting concerns and fluctuations, creating unity in awareness and action.
Propaganda and training work has contributed to shifting awareness from "being affected by arrangement" to "proactively participating in innovation"; from the mentality of maintaining the status quo to the spirit of putting the common interests of the Party, the country and the People first.
The work of grasping public opinion and thoughts of cadres, party members, union members, association members and the People is focused on. The team of public opinion collaborators has been gradually consolidated, helping the Party Committee to early identify problems, forecast ideology and choose appropriate leadership methods.
Forming a battle to protect the ideological foundation in the entire system
Another important result is the step-by-step building of a unified leadership and direction mechanism for the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
Immediately after the Party Committee was established, Steering Committee 35 of the Party Committee was established, held its first meeting in May 2025 and issued documents according to regulations. The work of protecting the ideological foundation has been gradually deployed synchronously from the Party Committee to directly affiliated Party organizations, linking the responsibility of Party committees, heads, press agencies and each cadre and party member.
The propaganda sector has advised on maintaining the monitoring and identification of bad and toxic information, distorted arguments about the leadership role of the Party, the great national unity bloc, the arrangement of organizational structure and national development policies. On that basis, agencies and units proactively provide official information, build content for struggle and refutation suitable for each target group and each type of media.
The Party Committee has advantages from the press and media system and a wide network of union members and association members. The propaganda and training sector has initially promoted this resource to spread positive information, policies, good models and contributions from the people.
Through this, the struggle work not only refutes false information but also enhances the "resistance" of ideology. Official, timely and convincing information will contribute to narrowing the impact of distorted arguments.
Taking social consensus and the people's trust as a measure
The propaganda work of the Party Committee must be closely linked to mobilizing the People, not only conveying one-way but also needing to listen, dialogue, explain, persuade and promote the participation of the People.
Besides initial results, propaganda work still faces many challenges: Bad and toxic information is increasingly sophisticated, difficult to distinguish from social criticism; propaganda content in some places is still lacking in depth, ideological forecasting is not timely, and digital communication capacity is not uniform.
Therefore, the Party Committee's propaganda and training sector needs to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation; build a close coordination mechanism between propaganda, mass mobilization, press, media and core forces fighting in cyberspace. Each party organization must become a political fulcrum; each press agency is a key force; each cadre, party member, union member, association member is a subject spreading positive information.
Protecting the Party's ideological foundation is ultimately protecting the people's beliefs, protecting the great national unity bloc and the country's development path. The success of propaganda work is not only measured by the number of conferences or propaganda articles, but must be shown in the unity within the Party, social consensus and the ability to mobilize the people's strength.
The propaganda sector of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations has gradually affirmed its political and ideological advisory role; contributing to maintaining the ideological battlefield, consolidating the "people's heart battlefield" and promoting the strength of the great national unity.
