Over 1,175 billion VND to support people to overcome the consequences of floods

To date, more than 1,175 billion VND has been donated to support people in the provinces to overcome the consequences of floods through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee.

Continuing to respond to the Appeal of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on supporting people affected by floods, as of 12:00 on December 5, more than 1.1 million people, over 10,000 organizations, units and enterprises have supported people in the provinces to overcome the consequences of storms and floods through the Central Relief Mobilization Committee with a total amount of VND 1,175.249 billion.

Recently, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to mobilize support through VNeID Bank; coordinate with ministries and central agencies to organize programs and events, including mobilizing support for people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods, such as: coordinating with the Ministry of Public Security to mobilize support through the art program Flower Blossoming after the rain at Hoan Kiem Lake Theater; coordinating with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to mobilize support through the Autumn Fair; Coordinate with the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism to mobilize support through the Week of "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage"; coordinate with VTV to organize the live TV program "Overcoming the Flood".

The total registered budget for supporting the programs is over 160 billion VND, of which the art program "Flowers bloom after the rain" mobilized 400 million VND in support. At the Autumn Fair, units, businesses and individuals donated 112.596 billion VND. At the opening of the "Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage" Week (opened on the evening of November 24, 2025), units and businesses donated over 40 billion VND; The live TV program "Overcoming the Flood" (20:10-21:10 on November 25, 2025 on VTV1) had 13,391 individuals donate through the accounts of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee with a budget of 6.3 billion VND...

Along with that, based on the consensus of the two governments, on December 2, 2025, the Chinese Government transferred 500,000 USD (equivalent to VND 13.085 billion) through the account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to support the Government and people of Vietnam in overcoming the consequences of floods.

From the received money, the Central Relief Mobilization Committee has allocated 10 rounds with a budget of 833.152 billion VND through the accounts of the Relief Committees or the Fatherland Front Committees of 23 provinces and cities, of which, the budget allocation is 828.382 billion VND; the allocation of support products is 4.77 billion VND.

In addition to allocating funds and products to localities. The Central Relief Mobilization Committee has coordinated with transportation enterprises (Vietnam Vehicle, Giaohangtietkiem.vn), Vietnam Railway Corporation, Vietnam Airlines to support free transportation of over 200 tons of essential products directly supporting people in the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong.

Also in localities, from October 2025 to present, the Vietnam Fatherland Front in 34 provinces, cities and all levels has launched programs to respond to the Appeal of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front through on-site support, directly transferring support sources to affected localities. According to preliminary statistics, up to now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels has mobilized over VND 3,700 billion to support people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Millions of arms turn to compatriots affected by storms and floods
