Recently, the Central and Central Highlands regions have suffered a historic flood, causing particularly serious damage to people and property. According to statistics, natural disasters have left 108 people dead and missing, of which 98 people died; tens of thousands of houses collapsed, drifted or were flooded; thousands of hectares of rice and crops were damaged; many traffic works were cut off and isolated, causing damage of up to tens of thousands of billions of VND. The lives of people in many localities were severely affected.
Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on the afternoon of December 4, at Hang Day Stadium, the two teams FC T&T Group and FC National Assembly Delegate organized a friendly match to raise funds to support people in the Central and Central Highlands to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society; Mr. Le Hai Binh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and representatives of leaders of a number of central ministries, departments and branches.
The organizing committee deploys the form of direct fundraising right at the stadium, creating conditions for agencies, organizations, businesses and people to join hands to contribute.
T&T Group alone donated 1 billion VND. Coach Harry Kewell and players Van Quyet and Hung Dung were also present to contribute and send their condolences to the people in the flooded areas.
Speaking at the event, Vice President of T&T Group Do Vinh Quang affirmed: This is not just a simple sporting activity, but also a profoundly humane event, towards the people of the Central region and the Central Highlands, who are struggling to overcome the severe consequences of storms and floods in the recent past.

Through today's friendship activities, we hope to contribute a small part to share the difficulties with the people".
The total amount of money donated to the program reached 1,026,150,000 VND, which will be transferred to the right locality and the right target who suffered heavy losses, ensuring publicity, transparency and timeliness.
