At the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province - said that preparations for the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lang Son province, term 2025 - 2030 along with a series of Congresses of socio-political organizations at the provincial level are being implemented synchronously and methodically.
According to the plan, the Commune-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress must be completed before September 30, 2025 and is required to be carefully prepared, ensuring solemnity, practicality and thrift.
The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress will be held for two days, to be completed before November 30, 2025, with key contents including assessing the 2024 - 2029 term, building a new term direction, participating in giving comments on documents of the National Congress and the personnel meeting of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term.
The direction work from the province to the grassroots level has been established in a unified manner, ensuring that congresses at all levels take place on schedule, in accordance with the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the instructions of the Central Government.

Also according to the plan, the 16th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress will take place from November 25 to 26, 2025, at the Provincial Convention Center, with about 440 delegates attending, including 300 official delegates and nearly 140 invited delegates.
The Congress has the theme "Enhancing the core political role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; promoting great national unity.
Innovation, promoting digital transformation; joining hands to build Lang Son to develop rapidly, sustainably, and comprehensively, demonstrating the consistent spirit of Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development.
The political report submitted to the Congress is expected to determine 16 general targets for the 2025 - 2030 term.
With a focus on strengthening the great national unity bloc, promoting the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas, sustainable poverty reduction, improving social security, innovating monitoring and criticism methods, and promoting digital transformation throughout the system.
Three breakthrough tasks were emphasized, including improving team capacity and community self-management models; strongly innovating monitoring and social criticism activities; as well as promoting comprehensive digital transformation in frontline activities and socio-political organizations.
Along with that, the Personnel Project of the 16th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee was carefully prepared, ensuring inheritance, stability and development.
It is expected that the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the next term will have 120 members, an increase compared to the previous term due to adjusting administrative boundaries.
The members are reasonably structured, representing all classes, ethnic groups, religions and member organizations.
The Standing Committee is expected to consist of 9 members, of which the Chairman is the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; the Vice Chairmen include representatives of organizations and front work areas.
In parallel with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, in December 2025, provincial-level socio-political organizations such as the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Labor Federation, the Farmers' Association, the Women's Union and the Veterans' Association will also organize the Congress for the 2025-2030 term according to the plan agreed upon with the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
The document work and personnel of each organization are carefully prepared, in accordance with the correct procedures, ensuring a reasonable structure and meeting the requirements of operational innovation in the new situation.
