Houses named "Great Unity
From mid-2025, Ms. Lam Thi Thang, Hoa An commune (Tuyen Quang province) no longer has to live in a dilapidated house, waiting to collapse every time it rains and storms. After a year living in a new solid house, she deeply understands the value of sharing and support from the community.
Ms. Thang's house was built under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the locality. Construction started in April 2025, after more than 2 months of construction with the joint help of people and mass organizations, the house was completed.
“The house only has two mothers and children, living in a dilapidated house for many years. If it weren't for the support of the State, local authorities and mass organizations, I don't know when we would have a solid house to live in,” Ms. Thang said emotionally.
Similarly, Mr. Hau Mi Phuong's family in Minh Tan commune has lived in a temporary house located precariously on the mountainside for many years. Difficult travel conditions make transporting construction materials expensive, so even though he wants to repair the house, his family has not been able to do so.
Being supported by the State with 60 million VND, my family borrowed more to have more than 100 million VND to build a house. But without the help of the Fatherland Front, mass organizations and people in the commune, I would definitely not dare to build," Mr. Phuong shared.

To support Mr. Phuong's family, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations such as the Youth Union, Veterans Association, Women's Union, Border Guards... have joined hands to transport materials for free. Each bag of cement, brick, and corrugated iron sheet is transported by motorbike across steep mountain roads to build a new house for poor households.
Across Tuyen Quang province, more than 15,000 temporary and dilapidated houses have been removed with the involvement of the entire political system and the residential community. In which, the Fatherland Front plays a core role in mobilizing, connecting and mobilizing socialized resources.
Promoting the core role, gathering people's strength
According to Project 308 on supporting the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in Tuyen Quang province, poor households building new houses are supported with 50 million VND/household, and house repair is supported with a maximum of 25 million VND. Poor households under policy are supported with 80 million VND for new construction and 40 million VND for house repair.
To make the program effective, the Fatherland Front at all levels has promoted the role of gathering and mobilizing organizations, unions and people to participate in supporting poor households to build houses.
From the start of construction to completion, in many localities there has been the participation of the Women's Union, Youth Union, Veterans Association, Police, Army and local people.
People cleaning the foundation, people carrying materials, people digging the foundation, houses were also quickly built. This showed the solidarity and compatriotism under the gathering of the Fatherland Front, creating strength and miracles to complete difficult tasks.
The effective operation of the VFF has created a practical movement, spreading widely, helping poor households reduce housing construction costs. The VFF regularly inspects and supervises the implementation of mechanisms and policies to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing and organize the implementation of the Project and promptly proposes to remove difficulties and obstacles from the grassroots level.

Implementing Project 308, in 2025 alone, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Tuyen Quang (including the scope of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang provinces before the merger) received more than 355 billion VND and over 135,000 working days to support the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
Mr. Ha Trung Kien - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province said that the province identifies propaganda, mobilization, and gathering the strength of the entire people in participating in implementing the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses as one of the key tasks of the Front's work, thereby actively implementing many solutions to mobilize socialized resources.
Relevant departments and agencies closely coordinate, focusing on inspecting and supervising the leadership, direction, and implementation of the use of resources in housing construction and repair at the grassroots level," Mr. Ha Trung Kien informed.
