After heavy rains in early July 2025, Ms. Lam Thi Thang, Hoa An commune (Tuyen Quang province) has increasingly absorbed the value of a solid house. The whole family no longer has to worry every time the rainy and stormy season comes.
Ms. Thang's new house was built according to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the locality. Started in April 2025, after more than 2 months of urgent construction with the cooperation of the whole community, the house was completed.
"The family has only 2 mother and children, living in a dilapidated house for many years, without the support of the State, we do not know when we will have a solid house to live in. I thank the Party, the State, local authorities and the people very much", Ms. Thang shared.

Nearly 300km away, Tung Ba commune with 14 houses supported by the temporary and dilapidated house removal program has started construction, many of which are over 90% complete.
In Tung Ba, many effective ways are inherited and replicated such as rotating construction teams, groups of households supporting each other with materials, taking advantage of old materials, handing over keys... contributing to increasing proactiveness, saving costs and promoting community internal strength.
Responding to the Government's call, Tuyen Quang is devoting all resources to implementation and determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area before August 31, 2025.
In particular, the removal of temporary houses for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs must be completed before July 27 as a practical act of gratitude to those who have devoted and sacrificed for the country.
According to Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc - Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee, the results achieved in the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses not only demonstrate the determination in direction and management but also demonstrate the spirit of sharing and consensus from the people to the political system.
Although the number of temporary and dilapidated houses in Tuyen Quang province that need to be built in 2025 is the largest ever, this locality is determined to complete it on schedule compared to the set target.

As of July 13, 2025, the whole province of Tuyen Quang has started construction of 15,868 houses, reaching 100% of the plan, of which 12,882 houses have been completed and nearly 3,000 houses are continuing to be implemented on schedule.
To complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area according to the set schedule, Mr. Hau A Lenh - Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee requested members of the Steering Committee to closely follow the area and promptly handle arising issues with the highest determination.
At the same time, solemnly organize house handover ceremonies associated with events such as the celebration of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday on May 19, War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27... Affirming the determination and strong action of the political system in caring for the people's well-being.
