In the midst of that colorful picture, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Son La province plays a core role in gathering, uniting and promoting the strength of more than ten ethnic groups. On the eve of the 16th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Son La province, term 2025 - 2030, that role is clearly affirmed through the vivid practical results in each residential area and each village.
In November, from Muong Chien, Ta Hoc to Co Luong and Keo Bo villages, the atmosphere of the National Great Unity Festival became more bustling than ever. The national drum, the Mong Khen, and the Thai singing are bustling in the spacious cultural houses that the people have just enjoyed from the development programs of ethnic minority areas. The meetings during the festival not only have cultural significance, but also send a message of consensus, a heart to build villages, demonstrating the role of mobilization and connection of the Fatherland Front at the grassroots level.
In Muong Chien commune, 21 villages alternately organize the Great Unity Festival on an appropriate scale but always warm and close. People in traditional costumes gathered at the village cultural house, reviewing the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, praising advanced models, exchanging folk arts, playing traditional sports. That joyful atmosphere spreads the awareness of joining hands to build a new life. In just the past year, people in the commune have voluntarily donated 350m2 of land, contributing 600 working days to complete 5.7km of traffic roads. Those figures are not only the result of the emulation movement, but first of all, the result of the Fatherland Front knowing how to arouse and gather the people's strength.
Thanks to the active participation of the Front, in remote communes such as Ta Hoc, many people's projects have been implemented methodically, transparently and on schedule. Mong village cultural house was invested in from the 1719 Program, 125m2 wide, now becoming a meeting place and cultural activity of more than 770 Thai people. Not only benefiting, people also proactively contribute additional forest environmental service funds to build yards, buy speakers and equipment, showing the spirit of solidarity that the Front has built. The suspension bridges connecting the village, the concrete roads covering the hillsides, and the models of raising cows and growing strawberries from the support of the ethnic program all bear the mark of the Fatherland Front's supervisory and propaganda role in the implementation process.

During the past term, the Son La Provincial Fatherland Front has always clearly demonstrated its role as a " bridge" between the Party's will and the people's heart. From major policies to the most specific tasks such as consolidating land plots, building roads, building cultural houses or developing production models, wherever there is consensus from the people, there is the mark of the Front. The Front at all levels have flexibly promoted through village meetings, through loudspeaker systems, through prestigious people, through village elders, village chiefs or organizations. Thanks to that, policies on ethnic minorities, poverty reduction, and new rural construction are understood correctly, followed correctly, and directly benefited by the people.
In addition to mobilizing, the Front also plays an important role in social supervision and criticism. In many projects using State capital, the Commune Fatherland Front and the people participated from the stage of surveying, selecting locations, monitoring progress to accepting the project. That participation helps limit negativity, improve the quality of projects and above all, strengthen people's trust in the government. Thanks to close supervision, projects in Ta Hoc, Muong Chien or many highland communes have been effective as soon as they were completed, becoming an important factor promoting local socio-economic development.
Aiming for the 16th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegation Congress, the preparation work was carefully implemented by the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee early: From developing documents and directions for the new term, to preparing personnel projects to ensure the diverse representation of ethnic groups, religions and social components. The structure of the 16th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is expected to have up to 62.92% of ethnic minority delegates, clearly demonstrating the representation of a multi-ethnic mountainous province like Son La; at the same time, increasing the proportion of non- Party people and representatives of religions to expand solidarity and close attachment to the people.
Also on this occasion, central and local press agencies are requested to coordinate to increase propaganda about the outstanding results of the Provincial Fatherland Front in the 2019 - 2024 term, spreading the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", vividly reflecting emulation movements, good models, and creative ways of the Front at all levels. Activities on the sidelines of the Congress such as the photo exhibition of achievements, incense offering troupes at Uncle Ho Temple and Son La Prison also show the respect for the tradition and aspiration to rise up of the entire Front system.
From specific results in each village to major programs of the province, it can be seen that the Fatherland Front of Son La province is the solid support of the great solidarity bloc. Solidarity is not only a tradition but has become an motto of action, a driving force to help Son La sustainably reduce poverty, develop the agricultural economy, preserve cultural identity and strengthen political security. Entering the new term, Son La sets a goal of rapid and sustainable development, bringing the lives of ethnic minorities to the national average. In that journey, the role of the Fatherland Front becomes more important than ever: continuing to connect, lead, create trust and consensus, so that the strength of great solidarity shines from each village to the whole province.
