Nghe An - Many units and philanthropists continue to send goods and support money to help people in flooded areas of Nghe An overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

On August 10, information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Nghe An province said that it had just received the hearts of organizations, businesses and individuals towards people in flooded areas.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province respectfully expressed its deep gratitude to the units that have promptly supported people in flooded areas: The Sunshine Golden Heart Fund has donated 5,000 Gaserikin packages to improve bacteria and medical supplies, worth 2 billion VND, helping people increase resistance and protect their health after the storm; PVcombank supported 1 billion VND to help people soon stabilize their lives.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, as of 4:30 p.m. on August 9, the total amount of money and goods registered for support in the province reached more than 144.94 billion VND. Of which, 105.32 billion VND has been transferred to the provincial Relief Fund account (including transfers and cash); the remaining amount at the commune-level relief fund is 15.8 billion VND; receiving goods with a stated value of more than 10.96 billion VND; the registered but unfulfilled amount is 12.85 billion VND.

The flood at the end of July 2025 occurred in the mountainous areas of the western part of Nghe An province, killing 4 people; sweeping away, collapsing, and damaging nearly 7,500 houses; causing serious damage to traffic infrastructure, healthcare, and education; total damage reached more than VND 3,700 billion, of which damage to housing was more than VND 1,500 billion, damage to traffic infrastructure was VND 1,390 billion.

On August 7, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee decided to allocate 500 billion VND (300 billion VND from the central budget, 200 billion from the provincial budget) to localities to promptly overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

In recent days, floods and landslides in the North Central and Northern mountainous provinces have killed and left many people missing, houses, schools and maple blossoms were swept away and submerged in mud, affecting local production activities.
