Gia Lai - Nutifood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company has donated 10 billion VND to support people to overcome the damage after storm No. 13.

On the evening of November 15, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province, Nutifood Nutrition Food Joint Stock Company donated 10 billion VND to help people overcome the damage after storm No. 13. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung.

Typhoon Kalmaegi has caused severe damage to Gia Lai province and neighboring provinces, seriously disrupting people's lives.

In Gia Lai, storm No. 13 killed 2 people, many houses, traffic infrastructure, electricity, telecommunications, healthcare, and education were damaged. The production and business activities of people and businesses were severely affected,... The total estimated damage is about 5,900 billion VND.

Immediately after the storm, local authorities and rescue forces promptly assisted people in cleaning up, rebuilding houses and restoring infrastructure. However, the damage is too great, requiring the cooperation of the whole society to help people rebuild their lives.

Nutifood's Board of Directors decided to donate 10 billion VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Gia Lai province, to promptly allocate to the most needed areas.

Mr. Le Nguyen Hoa - Vice Chairman of Nutifood Board of Directors - shared: "After the storm, what worries us most is the mounting difficulties that people are facing. We hope that Nutifood's contribution will help people share the burden, rebuild their lives, restore livelihoods and soon return to daily life".

At the event, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung thanked Nutifood for its practical and timely gesture. He emphasized that this is an act of great social responsibility, demonstrating the spirit of companionship of businesses with the community, especially when people are suffering many losses.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that competent agencies closely coordinate to allocate support sources transparently and to the right subjects, helping people quickly stabilize their lives.

In 25 years of development, Nutifood has always considered community responsibility as its core value. In addition to supporting natural disaster recovery, the company also implemented many long-term social security programs such as donating milk and medical equipment during the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting people in flooded areas in the Central and Northern regions, and improving nutrition for disadvantaged people across the country.

Each year, Nutifood spends more than 100 billion VND on health care, nutrition and social security support activities for children, the elderly and the disadvantaged.
