On the morning of August 24, leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front met with outstanding delegates representing all classes of people.
Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and Fatherland Front of Vietnam, Politburo member and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong cordially sent his warmest greetings and best wishes to the delegates representing all classes of people, ethnic groups, religions, businessmen, overseas Vietnamese and compatriots and comrades nationwide.
President Luong Cuong reviewed the history of National Day on September 2, emphasizing that this is a milestone marking the country entering a new era of independence, freedom and socialism.
"To achieve great victories in the struggle for national liberation and national reunification in the past as well as in the current cause of building and defending the socialist Fatherland, there are many factors, and one of the especially important factors is solidarity and building, most highly promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc as beloved Uncle Ho affirmed: "Easy is not enough for the people, hard is enough for the people" ".
According to the President, it is a great lesson to promote the strong role of the great national unity bloc, taking the Vietnam Fatherland Front as a typical form of organization, widely gathering all patriotic forces, turning the potential strength of the People into a real strength, making all victories of the revolution.
The President said that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has always played a core political role, a common house that gathers and unites all social classes, ethnic groups, religions, and Vietnamese people at home and abroad, creating the invincible strength of the great national unity bloc.
From the early days of the resistance war to regain independence and national reunification, to the renovation, integration and development of today, the Front has continuously gathered, encouraged the people to enthusiastically participate in patriotic movements, aroused and mobilized all resources and intelligence, turning the aspiration for independence, freedom and happiness into concrete revolutionary actions, contributing to all great victories of the nation. In that common achievement, there are great contributions from all classes of people, ethnic groups, religious groups and overseas Vietnamese - the entities of the great solidarity bloc, the endless source of strength to nurture and support the cause of building, protecting and developing the country.
The President affirmed that our Party, State and People have deeply acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the great contributions of all classes in society, organizations, individuals, businessmen, and Vietnamese people at home and abroad; in which, the working class, farmers, and intellectuals, under the leadership of the Party, have formed the Public-Aural- intellectual Alliance, a solid political-social foundation, a pillar of the great national unity bloc. In the struggle for national liberation and national reunification, this alliance has created a combined strength, becoming a core force that both directly held guns in combat and was a great supporter of the revolution.
Entering the period of building and defending the Fatherland, the alliance continues to play a central role in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs, leading patriotic emulation movements, promoting innovation, contributing to building and strengthening the strength of the entire nation for the goal of "rich people, strong country, fair society, democracy and civilization".
Always stand shoulder to shoulder with workers - farmers - intellectuals to form a strong group of ethnic minorities, strong children, loyal to the Party and the revolution. Even in mountainous areas, remote areas, ethnic minorities are always the force to protect the revolution, participating in the fight to preserve every piece of land of the homeland, the border of the Fatherland and preserve the rich cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.
The President recalled the words of President Ho Chi Minh, who loves his life and is a son, who affirmed: The Kinh or Tho, Muong or Man, Gia Rai or Yi De, Xe Dang or Ba Na ethnic groups and other ethnic minorities are all children of Vietnam, all brothers. We live and die together, suffer together, be filled and hungry to help each other... Rivers may dry up, mountains may erode, but our solidarity will never be reduced."
According to the President: "We deeply respect and gratitude our fellow believers of all faiths, those who live "good lives and are beautiful", always accompany the nation, actively participate in patriotic movements, volunteer activities, care for the poor, contribute to building a humane, united and progressive society. In the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, people of all religions always affirm their firm belief in the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, while preserving and promoting the core values of "goodness, compassion, love, and service to others". Religious organizations have proactively adjusted teachings and laws to comply with the fine cultural traditions of the nation and the legal regulations of the state; accompany the country in all areas of life and society.
We recognize the important contributions of the Vietnamese business community. In the renovation period, the business community is always an important force promoting innovation, improving labor productivity, increasing national competitiveness, contributing to hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and stabilizing social life.
In addition, Vietnamese entrepreneurs always demonstrate a deep national spirit, attaching corporate interests to national interests, contributing to the sustainable development of the country. And today, the Vietnamese business community continues to promote the tradition of patriotism and creativity, being pioneers on the "economic front" and accompanying the nation in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
We express our deep affection and sincere thanks to the overseas Vietnamese community - an inseparable part of the Vietnamese people. Overcoming many difficulties and challenges, people far from home always turn to their roots, actively contribute their intelligence, talent and affection to their homeland, and are a bridge of friendship between Vietnam and friends around the world. Although far from home, the overseas Vietnamese community always preserves and promotes the good cultural identity of the nation.
Many overseas Vietnamese organizations have made positive contributions to people's foreign affairs, promoted the image of the country and people of Vietnam, refuted false arguments, contributed to building and enhancing the prestige and good image of Vietnam in the international arena.
The President emphasized that every victory of the Vietnamese people comes from the strength of great solidarity, unity, and continuous dedication of all classes of people under the wise leadership of the Party.
"Entering the new era, we are facing great opportunities, but also full of challenges, so we must further promote the spirit of patriotism, intelligence, and aspiration to rise up of the entire nation, continue to honor, spread, and promote the great role of the working class, farmers, intellectuals, ethnic groups, religions, businessmen, and overseas Vietnamese in the process of building a prosperous and happy country.
