Focus on fostering and discovering outstanding masses
According to the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, after the merger, Gia Lai is the second largest province in the country with a population of over 3.5 million people. Among them, ethnic minorities account for 23.20% of the total population of the province (Jrai ethnicity accounts for 15.54%; Bahnar accounts for 5.69%...).
As of March 31, 2026, Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee has 139 directly affiliated party committees, 2,016 grassroots party organizations. Of which, there are 56,935 female party members and 22,780 party members who are ethnic minorities (accounting for 15.71%).
In recent years, Party committees at all levels have focused on building, consolidating, and improving the leadership capacity and combat strength of grassroots Party organizations and the quality of party members, especially grassroots Party organizations in key areas, remote and isolated areas, and ethnic minority areas.
According to the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, the work of building the Party and developing party members who are ethnic minorities is being concerned and implemented by Party committees at all levels. At the same time, continue to raise awareness for Party committees, Party organizations at all levels and party members about the important meaning of developing party members who are ethnic minorities in the current period.
Thanks to that, the number of newly admitted party members each year basically achieves and exceeds the plan, contributing to improving the scale and quality of the party team.
Right from the beginning of 2026, based on the targets of the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, Party committees at all levels pay attention to developing party members among union members, youth, students, militia and self-defense forces, workers, laborers and ethnic minorities.

The Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board advises on assigning Party committee members and socio-political organizations to discover, nurture, and introduce outstanding masses. The source of Party member development focuses on youth union members, women's union members, farmers' union members, militia forces, and active masses in villages, hamlets, schools, agencies, and units. In which, priority is given to ethnic minority areas and prestigious families in the community...
Building resources from patriotic emulation movements
The work of creating sources, educating, and fostering outstanding masses is concerned, fostering awareness, equipping knowledge about the goals and ideals of the Party, and orienting the masses to have the motivation to strive to join the Party.
At the same time, linking resource creation work with patriotic emulation movements, building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring security and order, border security. Gia Lai province also assigned agencies and units to twin with ethnic minority villages and hamlets, helping people improve their material and spiritual lives.
Some units called for and mobilized philanthropists to support breeding cows and seedlings to guide people to proactively produce effectively, respond to climate change, and increase crop yields.
Activities such as the Fund for the Poor, Green Sunday, 5-no family, 3-clean, Youth Month activities, caring for poor and near-poor households, visiting prestigious people... have contributed to consolidating people's trust in the Party organization and creating a source of Party member development right in the residential area.
According to Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Rah Lan Chung, the goal by 2030 is for Gia Lai to build a team of party members, especially party members who are ethnic minorities, with firm political bravery, bright moral qualities, exemplary lifestyle, meeting tasks in the new situation.
