On June 20, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province held a conference to summarize the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. According to statistics, the whole province of Quang Ngai has 6,331 households in need of housing support; of which, the number of households needing to build new houses is 4,149, the number of households needing to repair is 2,182.
Previously, on November 28, 2024, Quang Ngai held a launching ceremony to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area. The province calls on agencies, units, localities, businesses, philanthropists and people of all walks of life to unite and support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses.
By June 30, the whole province will basically complete the support for the construction and repair of 6,331 new houses, reaching 100% of the plan.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van - Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee - affirmed that this is a very proud achievement. In the coming time, Ms. Van suggested that all levels, sectors and localities not stop at eliminating temporary houses, but continue to monitor and support households that have built houses but are in especially difficult groups, in order to improve livelihoods and ensure a stable life in the long term.
In addition, it is necessary to periodically review and evaluate the quality of houses after handover, especially in areas frequently affected by natural disasters to have timely repair plans to ensure the safety of the people.
On this occasion, the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province commended and rewarded 32 collectives with achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province in 2025"; at the same time, 14 collectives with achievements in contributing and supporting funding in the movement were commended.
