Innovation of content and methods of mobilizing people
On the morning of December 19, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held a scientific seminar on the core political role and responsibility of the VFF and socio-political organizations in building the great national unity bloc.

Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, former Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized that since its establishment and throughout the process of leading the revolution, our Party has always identified building the great national unity bloc as a strategic guideline, a source of strength. Especially in the context of the country entering a new era, consolidating and promoting the great national unity bloc under the leadership of the Party as well as unifying the position and special importance of the great national unity bloc has become an urgent requirement, a key solution for the country to develop sustainably.
Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung said that as an organization of open political alliances and voluntary unions, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is an important political core in gathering and promoting the strength of national solidarity. The Party's resolutions and directives, the Constitution, the Law of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and many other documents of the Party and State have recognized and stipulated the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organization, in which the functions and tasks are directly linked and demonstrate the core role of the Front organization in building the great national unity bloc.
The new social context has raised many issues for building the great national unity bloc, specifically: promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc in some fields and areas has not been highly effective, has not aroused and promoted great potential among the people; some policies are not yet practical, difficulties in implementation; people's lives, especially in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, remote areas, still face many difficulties, rich - poor differentiation and large regional gaps...
In particular, in the current period, implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have reorganized and streamlined the apparatus and put the new model into operation from July 1, 2025 with fundamental innovations in organization and content and methods of operation. Therefore, one of the urgent requirements is to expand research to summarize new theoretical and practical issues arising in the innovation of the apparatus, content, methods, and operating models of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and current socio-political organizations and the requirement to build and consolidate the great national unity bloc in the new situation, determined for each stage until 2045.
On November 28, 2023, the Central Executive Committee issued Plan No. 21-KH/TW on continuing to implement the Resolution of the 8th Conference and the 13th Party Central Committee on "continuing to promote the tradition and strength of national solidarity, building our country to be more and more prosperous and happy", in which the Vietnam Fatherland Front was assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations to research and develop the National Great Unity Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Dr. Nguyen Huu Dung hopes that through the workshop, delegates will clarify the theoretical and practical basis of the core political role and responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building, consolidating and promoting the great national unity bloc, including the coordination mechanism between the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, mass organizations with the political and people's systems in building the great national unity bloc.
Along with that, identify factors affecting the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in gathering and promoting the strength of national solidarity.
In addition, discuss and propose solutions, initiatives, and policies on promoting the role and responsibility of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in building the National Great Unity Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
The Organizing Committee hopes to receive comments and exchanges and in-depth discussions on the above topics, thereby contributing to clarifying a number of theoretical and practical issues to contribute to the strategic orientation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in strengthening the great national unity bloc in the coming period.

Speaking at the workshop, Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Duong - Democratic - Legal Council of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front clarified the theoretical and practical basis of the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations in building the great national unity bloc in each revolutionary stage.
