On the morning of December 10, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) organized a scientific workshop on "New factors of the market economy and international integration affecting the gathering work, promoting the strength of national solidarity and the role of the VFF".
Dr. Nguyen Van Pha - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy Head of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Dr. Vu Van Tien - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy Head of the Advisory Council on Science, Technology and Digital Transformation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the workshop.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Nguyen Van Pha - Member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy Head of the Advisory Council on Democracy and Law of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front said that throughout the history of the country's development, especially since the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam, national great solidarity has always been a precious tradition, an important strategic guiding principle throughout the Party, a great source of great strength, a decisive factor in the successful cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
In particular, Dr. Nguyen Van Pha emphasized that in the context of the country entering a new era, consolidating and promoting the great national unity bloc has become an urgent requirement, a key solution to develop the country. As an organization of a political alliance and a wide-open voluntary association, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is an important political core in gathering the strength of national great unity.
"In the new period, in the context of international integration, industrialization, modernization, and digital transformation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front must further affirm its position as the center of national unity. The new social context has raised many issues in building the great national unity bloc," said Dr. Nguyen Van Pha.
The promotion of the strength of national solidarity in some areas and areas has not aroused and has not promoted the great potential of the people; some policies are still not close to reality, making implementation difficult; people's lives, especially in ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas, remote areas, still face many difficulties; rich differentiation and rich regional differences are still large; the innovation of content and methods of operation of the front and socio-political organizations, and the promotion of the effective role of mass organizations have not really met the requirements.
Faced with that reality, according to Dr. Nguyen Van Pha, one of the requirements for the Vietnam Fatherland Front is to expand research and summarize theoretical and practical issues on solidarity and great national unity.
On November 28, 2023, the Party Central Committee issued Plan No. 21-KH/TW to implement the Resolution of the 8th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on continuing to promote the tradition and strength of national solidarity, building our country to become more and more prosperous and happy. In which, the Vietnam Fatherland Front is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations to study and develop a strategy for great national unity until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
The workshop was organized with the desire to discuss and provide scientific and practical basis to determine the current status of gathering work, promoting the strength of national solidarity in the renovation period up to now.
At the same time, clarify and analyze new factors of the market economy and international integration affecting the gathering work, promoting the strength of the entire nation; identify the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the above context.
The workshop also aims to propose and suggest solutions, initiatives, and policies on building a national great unity strategy until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
