Welcoming the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at the grassroots level in Ho Chi Minh City deployed many meaningful and practical activities to care for Tet for people in the area, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh ward has just organized a walking program to support and care for the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year with the theme "Footsteps of gratitude - connection of love". The program attracted nearly 2,000 officials, party members, union members, members, armed forces, students, representatives of religious establishments, businesses, philanthropists and a large number of people in the area to participate.

The activity contributes to spreading the spirit of mutual affection, joining hands to take care of Tet for poor households, near-poor households and families in difficult circumstances, with the motto of leaving no one behind. Through the program, the organizers have mobilized more than 1.6 billion VND to take care of Tet for people.
According to Ms. Hoang Mai Quynh Hoa - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh ward, the program not only contributes to mobilizing resources for the Fund for the Poor, but also sends a strong message about the spirit of kindness, social responsibility and a positive and healthy lifestyle in the community.
At the city level, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has developed a coordination plan to organize the Spring Solidarity Festival - Tet of Gratitude in Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Ngo Tet 2026. The program is associated with activities to celebrate the Party and Spring; celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026); celebrate the 14th National Party Congress, term 2026 - 2031 and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026 - 2031.
Through activities, the unit focuses on practically caring for the material and spiritual life of near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances, workers, laborers, women, teenagers and vulnerable groups during the Lunar New Year. At the same time, strengthen coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and socio-political organizations to create widespread influence in the community.
It is expected that the Festival will take place on January 29 at Dam Sen Cultural Park, with the participation of about 10,000 people. Within the framework of the program, the unit will organize a mini-zero-cost supermarket, along with many cultural and experiential activities such as visiting, taking photos at street corners during Tet, wrapping banh chung, banh tet, folk games, recreating the traditional Tet space.
In addition, the space to care for workers, employees and children of workers with the theme "Tet Sharing - Tet of Love" is also organized, through giving Tet gifts and necessities, creating conditions for workers and employees in difficult circumstances to celebrate Spring and welcome Tet warmly and affectionately.
