On January 15, Lam Dong province continued to deploy the payment of compensation and site clearance to households in Ward 1 Bao Loc and Duc Trong commune whose land was recovered to implement the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project.
In Ward 1, Bao Loc, the project affected 153 households and 1 organization, with a total recovered area of nearly 37ha. To date, functional agencies have approved compensation plans for 142 cases, with a total cost of more than 225.8 billion VND.
Compensation payments were deployed by local authorities and functional agencies in two days, January 15 and 16.
On January 15 alone, Bao Loc Ward 1 People's Committee organized commendation for 47 exemplary families in compensation and site clearance for the project.
Among the cases commended, Mr. Nguyen Vu Thanh Hoang's family received the highest amount of compensation, with more than 11.6 billion VND.
Mr. Hoang said that in the process of counting land and assets attached to land, functional agencies have closely coordinated with local authorities, deployed methodically, meeting the thoughts and aspirations of the people, so his family agreed and coordinated implementation.
The compensation money received, my family plans to build a house to stabilize life and buy production land to develop the family economy," Mr. Hoang shared.
In Duc Trong commune, the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project passes through, affecting 334 households. The total compensation cost in this locality is estimated at more than 425 billion VND, paid in two installments.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Land Development Center, the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project passes through 10 communes and wards, with a total of 2,473 cases of land acquisition, belonging to 2,464 households.
Of which, 2,347 dossiers are eligible for compensation, with a total cost of site clearance of more than 2,728 billion VND.
As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway project phase 1 has a length of 73.6km, a scale of 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 17m, and a maximum designed speed of 80km/hour.
The project is an important component to close the entire Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, shorten travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat, creating motivation to promote socio-economic development in the region.
