Focus on perfecting and stabilizing the organizational apparatus
On July 17, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Con Dao Special Zone held its first conference.
The conference announced the decision to establish the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone; the decision to recognize the members of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone; the decision to establish the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone; agreed on the action of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone for the last 6 months of 2025.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone was established on July 1. The Standing Committee of the Committee consists of 6 people and 40 members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone.
With the working program for the last 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone focuses on participating in preparing and serving the Con Dao Special Zone Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term; preparing conditions for organizing the Con Dao Special Zone Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
At the same time, continue to promote the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people, pay attention to caring for the material and spiritual life of the people; continue to innovate, improve the quality and effectiveness of emulation movements, new models, creative ways of doing things in propaganda, mobilization, supervision and social criticism.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone to focus on perfecting and stabilizing the organizational apparatus and operating regulations.
At the same time, strengthen the work of grasping the ideological situation, thoughts and aspirations of the people; innovate the content and methods of operation, effectively implement campaigns and patriotic emulation movements; strengthen supervision and social criticism, care for people's lives, ensure promoting the core role and bridge between the Party, government and people.
Strengthening the implementation of social security policies
Also on July 17, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - chaired a working session with the Standing Committee of the Con Dao Special Zone Party Committee on the work of reorganizing the apparatus and the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Con Dao Special Zone for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Discussing at the meeting, delegates contributed opinions such as paying attention to policies for heads and deputy heads of grassroots unions; developing local products associated with tourism development; paying attention to implementing social security policies for people...
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc suggested that the Party Committee of Con Dao Special Zone pay attention to leadership and direction in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, taking care of people's lives; continue to build the organization and operation of the two-level administrative units to ensure smoothness and efficiency.
The special- zone Fatherland Front Agency focuses on doing a good job of ideological work, proactively grasping the situation of public opinion and society, promoting the application of information technology, improving the operational capacity of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.
On this occasion, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City presented gifts to war invalids, families in difficulty, and armed forces units stationed in the Con Dao special zone with a total amount of nearly 75 million VND.
At the same time, donated a means of transportation to Con Dao special zone worth 1.3 billion VND and a project to improve the quality of life and activities of the people to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao special zone worth 200 million VND.
