On October 30, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) - Hai Phong City Relief Mobilization Committee organized a fund-raising ceremony to support people in the Central provinces affected by storms No. 10 and No. 11.
At the reception, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of 6 wards in the western area of the city including: Hai Duong, Tan Hung, Thanh Dong, Le Thanh Nghi, Viet Hoa and Nam Dong presented more than 5 billion VND to support people in the Central provinces who suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods. Of which, Le Thanh Nghi ward donated the largest amount with VND 2,108,945,000; followed by Thanh Dong ward with VND 1,050,000,000.
Speaking at the program, the leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City acknowledged and respected the spirit of mutual love and community responsibility of cadres, party members, agencies, units, businesses and people of the wards; affirmed that this is a timely source of encouragement, demonstrating the affection and affection of Hai Phong City people towards people in disaster areas.
The active participation of wards in the western area of Hai Phong in supporting people affected by floods is a noble gesture, continuing the tradition of solidarity, "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of the nation, contributing to sharing difficulties, helping people soon overcome the consequences, stabilize their lives and restore production after natural disasters.

Consecutive storms and floods have caused many deaths, missing and injuries; many houses and production and business establishments have had their roofs blown off and suffered heavy damage. People across the northern mountainous provinces and the central provinces are struggling to cope with floods and heavy losses in human lives and property due to floods and thunderstorms.
