In the 2024 - 2029 term, the Ward Fatherland Front has promoted its core role in strengthening the great national unity bloc; innovating the content and methods of operation; focusing on the grassroots, strengthening solidarity with the people.
Campaigns and patriotic emulation movements have been widely and effectively implemented such as: "All people unite to build civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "All people participate in protecting national security"...
Social security movements have achieved many practical results: the whole ward has built new houses and repaired 11 houses for meritorious households, poor and near-poor households; mobilized support for people to overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi to reach 532 million VND; 100% of residential groups organized the National Great Unity Festival, of which over 70% had a great solidarity meal, the annual cultural family ratio reached over 96%.
In particular, during the term, the Ward Fatherland Front coordinated to organize more than 120 sessions to propagate and disseminate laws, mobilize people to comply with the policies and guidelines of the Party and State; organize over 25 social supervision and criticism sessions in the fields of people's livelihood, urban areas and social security, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the government.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Congress agreed on the spirit of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Creativity - Development"; through 6 key groups of tasks and solutions and 12 main targets, focusing on improving the quality of the activities of the Front system; promoting the role of supervision and social criticism; contributing to the construction of the Party and government; promoting digital transformation in the work of the Front; effectively implementing patriotic emulation movements, caring for people's lives, building civilized and modern urban areas; consolidating and expanding the great national unity bloc.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Pham Cong Quan - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of Hai Duong Ward People's Council - acknowledged and praised the results of the work of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee in the past term; in the context that the ward has just completed the arrangement of administrative units, the Front needs to continue to promote its role as a center of solidarity, a solid bridge between the Party, government and the people.
Mr. Quan suggested that the new Ward Fatherland Front Committee focus on strongly innovating the content and methods of operation, improving the effectiveness of supervision and social criticism, especially in areas directly related to people's lives; proactively grasping the thoughts and aspirations of the people, promptly advising and recommending to Party committees and authorities to resolve urgent issues at the grassroots level.
The Congress elected the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong Ward, term I, 2025-2030, including 54 members; elected delegates to attend the Hai Phong City Fatherland Front Congress; Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Chi was elected to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong Ward, term I.
