Ho Chi Minh City has distributed 7 funding packages and 4 support packages to provinces and cities that have suffered heavy damage caused by storms and floods, with a total support value of more than 112 billion VND.

On the afternoon of October 29, at the reception to support people affected by storms and floods, Mr. Phan Hong An - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that recently, people in localities in the Northern and Central regions have suffered heavy damage caused by storms and floods.

In the last days of October, prolonged heavy rains caused widespread flooding in the Central provinces and cities from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai. Floodwaters have risen, many residential areas have been isolated, traffic is paralyzed, people's lives have been disrupted and many difficulties are faced... Therefore, resources and the cooperation of many forces are needed to overcome the situation.

At the reception on the afternoon of October 29, 27 units, enterprises, organizations and individuals registered and supported with a total amount of goods and goods of VND 7,449,583,861 and USD 50,000 (more than VND 1.3 billion - PV)...
