HCMC - On the afternoon of October 23, many units, enterprises, organizations and individuals registered and supported people affected by storms and floods with more than 6.4 billion VND.

On the afternoon of October 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee continued to organize a reception to support people to overcome the damage caused by storms and floods.

Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh - Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City emphasized that the recent contributions not only demonstrate compassion, compatriotism, and national love but also affirm the tradition of "Ho Chi Minh City for the whole country, with the whole country", always being a pioneer, ready to share difficulties with people in areas affected by natural disasters and floods.

Immediately after the launch, the City quickly transferred funds and emergency support goods to the heavily affected provinces and organized working groups to directly visit, encourage and support people to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

The City Relief Mobilization Committee will continue to review, synthesize the situation and support the remaining localities affected by storms and floods to overcome the damage.

At the reception this afternoon, 32 units, enterprises, organizations and individuals registered and supported with a total amount of money and goods of VND 6,484,213,622.

As of October 21, the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee has received more than 13,500 donations with an amount of more than 145.5 billion VND and goods including more than 10,000 bags of household medicine, 50 tons of rice, 50 tons of necessities and personal care products, with a total value of more than 3 billion VND.
