Many new points connect the rear with the front line
On August 10, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with units to organize a conference to inform about the live television art exchange program "Towards the borders and islands of the Fatherland" in 2026 with the theme "From the City named after Uncle Ho - Sending all kindness to the front lines of the Fatherland".
According to the organizers, the program will take place at 7:30 PM on August 15th, at Hoa Binh Theater, broadcast live on HTV1 and retransmitted on HTV9.
This is an annual activity to connect the rear with cadres, soldiers and people living and working in border and island areas of the Fatherland. At the same time, it spreads the spirit of solidarity, affection and responsibility of the city's people towards the front lines.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City - said that this year's program is organized in the context that Ho Chi Minh City has a wider development space after arranging administrative units. Therefore, the theme "From the City named after Uncle Ho - Sending full affection to the front lines of the Fatherland" further emphasizes the feelings of the Party Committee, government and people of the city towards cadres, soldiers and people in border areas and islands.
One of the highlights of the program is the exchange content at the bridge points, thereby bringing the audience closer to the life and tasks of the forces at the forefront.
Mr. Pham Minh Tuan assessed that the art exchange night is not only a spiritual gift for cadres, soldiers and people in border and island areas, but also a bridge to spread humanistic messages, mobilizing people from all walks of life to continue to accompany the "For the Homeland's Sea and Islands - For the Frontline of the Fatherland" Fund. Through this, deploying more practical and meaningful activities towards borders and islands.
Continue to mobilize and care for the front line
According to Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, borders and islands are an inseparable part of the Fatherland. At the forefront of waves and winds and the vast border strip, officers, soldiers and people still perform the task of protecting sovereignty and maintaining peace for the country day and night.
To encourage the frontline force, over the past time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has mobilized organizations, individuals, businesses, and Vietnamese people at home and abroad to join hands through the "For the Homeland's Sea and Islands - For the Fatherland's Frontline" Fund.
From July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, the city has mobilized and organized care of more than 40 billion VND, successfully organized sea voyages to the Southwest sea area, Con Dao, DK1 rig and Truong Sa archipelago and many other activities to contribute to the implementation of military rear work.
Currently, through the Front system and socio-political organizations in 168 wards, communes, and special zones, the city has mobilized registration to participate for more than 31 billion VND. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is striving to continue mobilizing an additional 9-10 billion VND to complete the target of about 40 billion VND according to the Resolution of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress.
Through the art exchange program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city wishes to continue to receive the support of all classes of people, and at the same time spread more deeply the spirit of "For the homeland's sea and islands - For the frontline of the Fatherland".
