On July 19, Son Dong Ward People's Committee (Vinh Long province) organized a gift-giving program for policy families in difficult circumstances to celebrate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
Attending the program were Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Thanh Binh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with local leaders and philanthropists.
At the program, delegates presented 200 gifts to policy families in difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth 1 million VND, including 500,000 VND in cash and essential necessities for life.
The activity aims to promote the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", "Gratitude", express gratitude to people with meritorious services to the revolution and policy families in the area, contributing to taking care of social security.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Chairman of Son Dong Ward People's Committee - expressed his gratitude to the families of martyrs, and thanked the provincial leaders and philanthropists for their concern and companionship with the locality.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, the gifts are not only materially meaningful but also express the feelings and responsibility of the community towards policy families, contributing to spreading the tradition of "Drinking water, remembering the source", "Gratitude" of the nation.
