Symbol of solidarity and harmony
Lao Cai - a colorful and cultural land with 34 ethnic groups living together - is always a symbol of solidarity and harmony. Immediately after the August Revolution, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province promoted its role as a support for the people, a " bridge connecting the people's hearts with the Party's will", mobilizing the strength of the people and the strength of the frontline support in the two resistance wars against France and against the US.
The movement of "civilian education in the crop", fighting hunger fighters - fighters, increasing livestock production, building a new lifestyle has spread widely in the community. The children of ethnic groups enthusiastically joined the army, participated in self-defense campaigns, contributing to creating a solid position of people's hearts in the northern fence of the Fatherland.
In 1975, after Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Nghia Lo merged into Hoang Lien Son province, the Front continued to arouse the strength of solidarity between cultural regions, launch a movement to open up the country, build irrigation, and develop production. During the Border Protection War of 1979, the Front mobilized forces and material resources in a timely manner to serve the fight and rebuild, helping people stabilize their lives.
In 1991, when Hoang Lien Son separated into the two provinces of Lao Cai and Yen Bai, the Front quickly consolidated its organization and innovated its mobilization model. Major campaigns such as "All people unite to build a cultural life", "For the poor", eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses... have been widely implemented, bringing practical results, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction and building new rural areas.
The period of 2020 - 2025 marks a strong change. The campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" spread to 100% of residential areas; the whole province has 184/277 communes meeting new rural standards. People donated more than 700,000m2 of land to open roads and build welfare projects - a number that shows the power of trust and consensus.
The movement "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" is associated with promoting OCOP products, organizing more than 40 fairs and agricultural markets in mountainous areas, bringing local specialties to a wider market. The "For the Poor" Fund and socialized resources have mobilized over 349 billion VND, helping thousands of poor households have Great solidarity and stabilize their lives.

Listening to people's opinions through the "Digital Front Portal"
In July 2025, the National Assembly issued a Resolution on the arrangement of administrative units, merging Lao Cai and Yen Bai - a new milestone, opening up more open development space and also setting higher requirements for the Front's work.
In the new period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province continues to identify the central task of consolidating the great national unity bloc and enhancing social consensus. The Front promotes the implementation of the Grassroots Democracy Regulations, diversifying the channel for listening to People's opinions through the model of "Listening to the People" and "Digital Front Portal" receiving 24/7 feedback.
At the same time, the Front improves the quality of emulation movements and key campaigns, striving for each member organization to " get a big result every quarter, two breakthroughs each year". The goal of building a residential area "Solidarity - safety - happiness" is being concretized by clear, easy-to-implement criteria, with the participation of people right from the grassroots.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front of Lao Cai province also issued many orientations to promote the role of socio-political organizations. In particular, the Labor Federation focuses on building a workforce to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization; promoting the role of trade unions representing workers, periodic dialogues, substantial collective discussions, protecting workers' rights, building trade union institutions in the place of residence and workplace, developing a large number of entrepreneurs with good management and business skills, high professional ethics and social responsibility...
"Trade" connects the Party's will with the people's heart

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province and its member organizations also strongly innovate their organization, content, and methods of operation, promote digital transformation in propaganda, mobilization, and organize online forums and seminars to listen to people's opinions.
