Due to the influence of storm No. 1, Bach Long Vi island district has strong winds of level 8, gusting to level 9; Con Co island district (Quang Tri) has strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 8. In Bai Chay (Quang Ninh) and Hon Ngu Island (Nghe An), strong winds of level 7; Cua Ong and Co To areas (Quang Ninh) have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7.
Updated from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, tonight (September 14), after moving deep into the mainland in the southwest of Guangdong province (China), storm No. 1 has weakened into a tropical depression.
At 10:00 p.m. on June 14, the center of the tropical depression was at about 22.7 degrees north latitude; 110.8 degrees east longitude. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 7 (50 - 61km/h), gusting to level 9.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will continue to move mainly northeast, moving deep into the mainland of Guangdong province (China), weakening and gradually dissipating, no longer likely to directly affect Vietnam.
