Forecast for the next 24 hours, the storm will move in a Northeast direction, at a speed of about 10 km/h and gradually weaken into a tropical depression.
By 13:00 on August 26, the center of the tropical depression will be located at about 21.3 degrees North latitude - 110.1 degrees East longitude; on land in the north of the Leizhou peninsula (China). Wind intensity is strong at level 7, gusting at level 9.
The dangerous area is located around the North latitude 18.5 degrees North latitude; East longitude 107 degrees East longitude. Disaster risk level is level 3 for the Gulf of Tonkin area (including Bach Long Vi special zone).
Forecast for the next 48 hours, the tropical depression will move in a North-Northeast direction at a speed of about 10 km/h and gradually weaken into a low pressure area.
By 13:00 on August 27, the center of the low pressure area will be located at about 23.2 degrees North latitude - 110.4 degrees East longitude; on land in Guangxi province (China). Wind intensity will decrease to below level 6.
The dangerous area is located about the north of the 20.5 degrees North latitude; the east of the 109 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the Northeast Gulf of Tonkin.
Regarding the impact of the storm at sea, the Gulf of Tonkin area (including Bach Long Vi special zone) has strong winds of level 6 - 7, the area near the storm center passing through is strong at level 8, gusting at level 10, waves are 2 - 4m high; strong sea waves.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
