Currently, storm No. 4 tends to move away from the mainland of our country, but still causes rain in Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh from tonight to tomorrow morning, August 25th.

Latest update from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 PM on August 24, the center of storm No. 4 was located at about 19.7 degrees North latitude - 107.3 degrees East longitude, in the sea area southwest of Bach Long Vi special zone, about 145km southeast of Hai Phong. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is strong at level 8-9 (62-88 km/h), gusting at level 11. The storm moves in the South direction at a speed of about 5 km/h.

Forecast for the next 24 hours, the storm will move in an easterly direction, at a speed of 5-10 km/h.

By 7:00 PM on August 25, the storm's center will be located at about 19.6 degrees North latitude - 108.5 degrees East longitude; in the area east of the Gulf of Tonkin, about 120km east-southeast of Bach Long Vi special zone. Wind intensity is strong at level 8-9, gusting at level 11.

Forecast for the next 48 hours, the storm will move in a North-Northeast direction, at a speed of about 10 km/h and gradually weaken into a tropical depression.

By 7:00 PM on August 26th, the center of the tropical depression will be located at approximately 21.6 degrees North latitude - 109.7 degrees East longitude; on land along the coast of Guangxi province (China), about 270km northeast of the Bailongwei Special Zone. Wind intensity is strong at level 7, gusting at level 9.

Forecast for the next 60 hours, the tropical depression will move northward at a speed of 5-10 km/h and gradually weaken into a low pressure area.

By 7:00 AM on August 27, the center of the low pressure area will be located at about 23 degrees North latitude - 109.7 degrees East longitude; on land south of Guangxi province (China). Wind intensity will decrease to below level 6.

Regarding the impact of the storm at sea, the Gulf of Tonkin area (including Bach Long Vi special zone) has strong winds at level 6-7, sea waves 2-3m high; the area near the storm center passing through is strong at level 8-9, gusts at level 10-11; sea waves 3-5m high; very rough seas.

Regarding heavy rain, the area of Ninh Binh province and from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh from the evening of August 24 to the morning of August 25 will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 40-70mm, locally very heavy rain over 150mm.

Heavy rain may cause flooding in urban areas, industrial parks and low-lying areas; increasing the risk of floods on small rivers and streams, flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas.

In addition, due to the impact of the storm's circulation, it is necessary to prevent the risk of thunderstorms, tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
