The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 8 (62-74 km/h), gusting at level 10. The storm moves in the East direction at a speed of 5-10 km/h.
Forecast for the next 24 hours, the storm will move in a Northeast direction, at a speed of 5-10 km/h.
By 4:00 AM on August 26th, the storm's center will be located at about 20.6 degrees North latitude - 109.5 degrees East longitude; in the area east of the Gulf of Tonkin, about 200km east-northeast of Bach Long Vi special zone. Wind intensity is strong at level 8, gusting at level 10.
The dangerous area is located about the north of latitude 18.5 degrees North latitude; from longitude 107 to 110 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the Gulf of Tonkin area (including Bach Long Vi special zone).
Forecast for the next 48 hours, the storm will move in a North-Northeast direction, at a speed of about 10 km/h and gradually weaken into a tropical depression, then into a low pressure area.
By 4:00 AM on August 27th, the center of the low pressure area will be located at about 22.5 degrees North latitude - 110.1 degrees East longitude; on land in Guangxi province (China). Wind intensity will decrease to below level 6.
The dangerous area is located about the north of latitude 19.5 degrees North latitude; from longitude 108 to 110.5 degrees East longitude. The disaster risk level is level 3 for the northeastern sea area of the Gulf of Tonkin.
Regarding the impact of the storm at sea, the Gulf of Tonkin area (including Bach Long Vi special zone) has strong winds of level 6-7, near the storm center level 8, gusts of level 10, waves 2-4m high; strong rough seas.
Ships operating in the above-mentioned dangerous areas are likely to be affected by thunderstorms, tornadoes, strong winds, and large waves.
