On the morning of April 19, Mr. Dinh Xuan Tuong - a surfing instructor in Mui Ne said that he and his students played surfing at the sandbar behind Mui Ne when they discovered whales swimming in the sea.

The whale was found about 300m from the shore. The whale continuously poked down and then surfaced with its mouth wide open to hunt prey.
Although many surfers were not far away, the whale still swam naturally for about 2 hours and was not scared at all.
Surfers find it interesting, so they take pictures with their phones to share with many people to watch.

Mui Ne fishermen believe that whales appearing in near-shore waters is a good omen, bringing good luck to the fishing villagers.
