Mr. Nhan said that the province is very concerned about urgent issues such as household waste treatment and has many positive changes. Among them, Tam Sinh Nghia Waste Treatment Plant (Rach Gia City) has carried out inspections and remedied the stagnant water from garbage trucks, reduced environmental pollution and odors, and improved the road leading to the waste treatment plant.
For Dong Cay Sao Waste Treatment Plant in Phu Quoc City, with a processing capacity of 150 tons/day and night, using sanitary incineration and landfill technology, it has been effective in processing and will soon completely process over 125,000 tons of backlog waste. The province is also continuing to bid for waste treatment plants to meet the development requirements of Phu Quoc in the coming time.
The Waste Treatment Plant and Renewable Energy Product Production Project from Waste in Tra Pho Hamlet, Phu My Commune, Giang Thanh District of Tam Hang Real Estate Company Limited is expected to be operational by the end of the fourth quarter of 2025.
According to Mr. Nhan, through the feedback of voters, the Provincial People's Committee has also directed the establishment of a team to inspect the project implementation status, and at the same time re-evaluate the volume, collection and treatment plan of garbage in Giang Thanh and Kien Luong districts and Ha Tien city; investor capacity, waste treatment plant capacity, etc. On that basis, it will be considered and handled specifically (expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025).
