On the morning of October 29, the Da Nang City Youth Union launched the Small Plan - Waste Classification, Fundraising to Help Friends 2024 model in 12 primary schools in Son Tra district.
The Small Plan Trip model - Waste classification, Fundraising to help you has been implemented since November 2022 to contribute to encouraging and raising awareness among young people in waste classification, prevention, changing habits, and environmental protection actions in the school environment. Since its implementation, the number of cans and bottles classified is 1,892 kg, paper is 3,417 kg, and plastic bottles is 1,152 kg.
This year's "Small Plan Trip - Waste Classification" model encourages the Youth Unions to mobilize members, teenagers, and children to classify metals, plastic products, and paper to put into the 3 compartments of the sorting vehicle. During the collection process, the Youth Unions organize to guide students about the purpose, meaning, and how to classify waste correctly. Encourage students to classify resource waste right from their daily activities in their families, residential areas, and schools, then collect the recyclable resource waste and bring it to the Small Plan Vehicle at school.
After each week, teachers will conduct statistics, contact the waste resource collection facility and convert the amount of waste resource collected each week in each grade into funds to support the Pink Smile gift giving activity for disadvantaged students at their school.
