These 6 trees include 3 red-barked myrtle trees and 3 lily trees located in plot 8B, sub-area 201 of Ba Mun island and plot 1A, sub-area 201, Mang Ha Nam island, Bai Tu Long National Park (under the administrative boundary of Minh Chau island commune, Van Don district).
According to the Management Board of Bai Tu Long National Park, three red-barked myrtle trees over 300 years old live on the island of dirt, while three ancient myrtle trees about 500 years old live on the island of stone.
Thus, this National Park currently has 156 Vietnamese heritage trees, including 3 red-barked myrtle trees, 3 Chinese clematis trees and a population of 150 Chinese clematis trees.
According to the Bai Tu Long National Park Management Board, in the Minh Chau Island area of Bai Tu Long National Park, a population of ancient Myrtle trees is currently being preserved, including 272 trees aged 150 years or more and over 2,000 trees under 150 years old. Of these, 150 ancient trees, meeting all the criteria, have been recognized as Vietnamese heritage trees.

Bai Tu Long National Park is located within the administrative boundaries of 3 communes: Minh Chau, Van Yen, Ha Long (Van Don district); established under Decision No. 85/2001/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, on the basis of expansion and upgrading from Ba Mun Nature Reserve. The park has a total area of 15,783 hectares, including 6,125 hectares of floating islands, 9,658 hectares of sea surface, over 80 large and small islands. This place possesses high biodiversity value and extremely unique landscapes.
Up to now, 2,415 species of living organisms have been recorded, including 1,195 species of forest flora and fauna and 1,220 species of marine life. Of these, 106 species are recorded in the Vietnam Red Book and the World Red List.
Wildlife is one of the wild values that exist and develop in Bai Tu Long National Park. The mammal class has 24 species belonging to 13 families, 6 orders; the bird class has 71 species belonging to 28 families, 9 orders; the amphibian class has 15 species belonging to 1 family, 1 order; the reptile class has 33 species belonging to 12 families, 2 orders; the insect class has 120 species belonging to 8 families. Listed in the Red Book are: Brown pigeon, clouded leopard, red leopard, mountain goat, otter, three-striped box turtle, gecko, monitor lizard, ground python...
With its natural landscape values, diverse ecosystems, diverse gene sources and species composition, especially the endemic value of the pine ecosystem, on September 30, 2016, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) recognized Bai Tu Long National Park as the 38th ASEAN Park in the region.
