The Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, units and localities to advise the Chairman of the City People's Committee to continue implementing the directive of the Chairman of the City People's Committee on strengthening the management of water resources, sand, gravel on river beds and protecting river beds, banks and beaches in the city; implementing the management and protection of coastal protection corridors in Da Nang city.
In addition, preside over and coordinate with relevant units to handle cases of land use for the wrong purpose, violations of laws on dikes, land, construction, etc.; organize inspections and handle waste dumping within river banks and riverbeds.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City assigned the Department of Transport to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Construction and related departments, branches, units and localities to review traffic works encroaching on flood drainage corridors, blocking flood drainage routes, propose appropriate solutions; appraise projects to build, repair and renovate bridges across rivers in the direction of ensuring flood drainage and smooth flow.
People's Committees of districts, according to their assigned functions and tasks and management areas, shall strengthen the direction of People's Committees of communes, wards, specialized agencies and related units to organize inspections, reviews and have plans to manage and use riverside and estuary areas according to regulations.
Regarding civil defense, natural disaster prevention and search and rescue, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the City Military Command to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to continue reviewing and proposing the establishment of Civil Defense Command Committees at all levels in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Civil Defense and other relevant legal provisions for smooth operation.
Regarding the work of preventing and combating landslides and rockslides in the city, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant departments, branches, localities and units to deploy the Plan to prevent and combat landslides and rockslides in the city.
