On September 17, the Department of Tourism coordinated with the Da Nang Tourism Association to organize a launching ceremony for the Da Nang tourism industry to support people in the northern provinces and cities to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi).
In recent days, storm No. 3 and its aftermath have caused heavy damage to people and property in the northern provinces and cities. The tourism industry of Da Nang city would like to express our deepest condolences to the families of those who died or were injured, and share the difficulties with families who lost their homes and property.
The Department of Tourism of Da Nang city has launched and mobilized officials, civil servants and employees of the Department of Tourism, the Tourism Association, member associations and tourism service enterprises in Da Nang city to join hands to support people in the provinces and cities in the Northern region to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi).
Many corporations, tourism projects, and tourism service businesses in the city have responded and directly contributed to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang city.
Sharing and support at this time is a great source of encouragement, demonstrating the noble sentiment of compatriots, contributing to reducing pain, helping people in disaster-stricken areas to soon restore production and stabilize their lives.
At the launching ceremony, the Department of Tourism, Tourism Association, member associations and tourism businesses raised a total of nearly 2.1 billion VND.
After this launch, the Department of Tourism called on the Da Nang Tourism Association and businesses to continue spreading humanitarian actions, the spirit of mutual love, mobilizing cadres, workers, civil servants, and employees of the unit to participate in supporting people in the provinces and cities in the Northern region to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 3 until October 10, 2024.
At the same time, we request that businesses that register their donations at today's launch event promptly transfer these funds to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City.
