Lam Dong - Prolonged heavy rain puts the area of 3 households living in Dak Snao village, Quang Son commune at risk of landslides.

On September 1, Mr. Doan Van Phuong - Chairman of Quang Son Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that the locality has directed the Commune Police to coordinate with the Military Command, grassroots security forces and militia to support 3 households in Dak Snao village to relocate to prevent the risk of landslides.

Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported: On August 30, prolonged heavy rain in Bao Loc Ward 3 caused landslides of about 20m high taluy banks, damaging 30m2 of factory and affecting 2 cold storages, fortunately no casualties were caused.

In B'Lao ward, the land adjacent to Loc Son Industrial Park also showed signs of instability.

The taluy slope is about 20m high, about 230m long, and many cracks appear 0.1 - 0.3m wide; some locations of the land are subsided about 0.4m compared to the old foundation.

Local authorities are strengthening inspection, warning and proactively handling plans in areas at risk of landslides, in order to limit damage during prolonged heavy rain.
