Khanh Hoa - Functional forces hand over 32 fishermen in distress at sea to Truong Sa 18 ship to bring back to the mainland.

On the morning of September 1, at Truong Sa Island (Truong Sa special zone), Truong Sa Border Guard Station coordinated with forces on the island to hand over 32 fishermen in distress at sea to Truong Sa 18 ship, Brigade 955, Naval Region 4, to bring back to the mainland.

Previously, 32 fishermen who were crew members on fishing vessel QNa 90859 TS, engaged in squid fishing, captained by Mr. Huynh Van Tri (47 years old, residing in Nui Thanh commune, Da Nang city), along with 49 crew members, encountered an accident on August 25 in the area about 35 nautical miles west of An Bang island, Truong Sa special zone.

Immediately after the incident occurred, functional forces and fishermen operating in the area urgently deployed search and rescue.

By August 28, the search force discovered and rescued 32 crew members.

At 2:30 PM on the same day, ship KN 472 of Coast Guard Region 3 Command received 32 fishermen from two fishing boats and took them to Truong Sa Island.

On August 29, fishermen were brought to the island for care, health monitoring and support for accommodation.

During their stay on Truong Sa Island, 32 fishermen were examined and taken care of by military doctors; officers and soldiers encouraged their spirits and provided essential necessities. Currently, the health of all 32 fishermen is stable and morale is good.

After boarding the Truong Sa 18 ship, it is expected that after about 2-3 days of journey, the ship will dock, handing over the fishermen to their families and local authorities.
