This afternoon (March 12), the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the intensified cold air weakly deviates to the east, from March 14, it will gradually weaken in intensity.
This cold air wave will not cause temperature fluctuations in the North but will cause rain in some provinces and cities in the Central region.
The area from Quang Tri to the east of Dak Lak province from March 13 to March 15 is forecast to have rain, showers, locally moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms; from March 16 there will be light rain in some places.
The North Central region from March 13 to March 16 is generally less rainy, with fog in some places in the early morning.
Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong regions in the next 3 days will generally have little rain, sunny days.
The Northern region on March 13th is generally less rainy, light fog in the morning, sunny during the day, sunny in the afternoon, cold at night and in the morning. Period from March 14th - March 16th, the mountainous and midland areas will have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; the Northern Delta and coastal areas are likely to have light rain, drizzle and fog.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions this week are generally less rainy, sunny days, especially the Southeast region has hot sunny places.
Regarding the rain trend in the next month, the total rainfall nationwide is generally at a level close to the multi-year average; especially in the Northeast region and the Central Highlands, the rainfall is 10 - 25mm lower than the multi-year average of the same period.
The Central Central region has higher rainfall from 5 - 15mm compared to the average of many years in the same period.
In the coming month, the Northern regions, Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai and eastern Gia Lai to Dak Lak are still likely to experience some widespread rains.
Dangerous weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind are likely to occur nationwide.
