The Northeast region, southern Lao Cai, Southern Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An in the late afternoon of May 20 to May 21, are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 30 - 60mm, locally over 100mm. In the Northeast region alone, rainfall is about 50 - 120mm, locally over 250mm.
