The weather in areas across the country in the recent period has been complicated, continuously experiencing heavy rain; including unusual rains.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a nationwide seasonal hydro-metropoleum forecast bulletin (ie from June to October 2025). Notably, there is information on rainfall forecasts and hot weather trends in the coming months.

Regarding the trend of temperature, from June to November, the average temperature across the country is approximately popular compared to the average for many years. Particularly in the Northwest region from June to August, the heat platform is 0.5 - 1 degrees Celsius higher than the average of the same period.
Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam - Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from June 2025, the heat will decrease in the Central Highlands and the South.
In the Northern and Central regions, the hot weather will continue until around August, and from September 2025, the hot weather will gradually decrease. The intensity of the heat is equivalent to the average of many years in the same period.
"In September, hot weather is still likely to appear locally in the Northern and Central provinces" - Mr. Lam said.
Regarding the trend of rain, June, the total rainfall nationwide is approximately the average of many years, particularly the Central Highlands, Southern, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan areas have a higher rainfall of 5-20% higher than the average of the same period at the same period. From July to November, it is expected that the total rainfall of the whole country is approximately the average of many years of the same period.
From June to August, moderate and heavy rains are likely to appear in the Northern, North Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions.
"From September to November, it is forecasted that we need to be on guard against moderate to heavy rains across the country, especially in the Central region" - Mr. Lam commented.
From June to November, there is a possibility of dangerous weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind occurring nationwide.
Previously, in May, there was no peak flood season, but the Viet Bac, Northern Delta, North Central - Central Central and Southern regions generally had a total rainfall 15 - 30% higher than the average of many years, some places over 80% (such as Bai Thuong - Thanh Hoa 638mm compared to the average of many years of 416mm).

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Mai Van Khiem - Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, current international research reports and the World Meteorological Organization are speculating and assessing that the main cause of increasingly extreme and unusual natural disasters is due to the impact of climate change.
"The reason is that in the context of climate change, atmospheric temperatures are getting hotter and hotter and leading to changes in atmospheric circulation systems at different scales, causing increased atmospheric instability" - Mr. Khiem analyzed.
Mr. Khiem cited the study report of the Intergovernmental Committee on Climate Change, which assessed that when the temperature increases to 1 degree Celsius, the amount of water and steam stored in the atmosphere is also higher.
"This is an unfavorable condition that makes the possibility of thunderstorms and heavy rain more frequent and unusual than before" - Mr. Khiem commented.
