Currently, the special zone of Ly Son has strong northeast winds at level 6; the special zone of Phu Quy has strong northeast winds at level 6, gusting at level 8 - 9; the special zone of Truong Sa has strong northeast winds at level 6, gusting at level 8; the Huyen Tran monitoring station has strong northeast winds at level 7, gusting at level 9.
On January 8, day and night, the sea area from Nam Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will have northeast wind level 5, sometimes level 6, gusts level 7 - 8, rough seas; waves 2 - 4m high.
The sea area from Gia Lai to Ca Mau, the Northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) and the central East Sea area have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 8 - 9, strong sea waves; sea waves are 3-6m high.
The South East Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone) has strong northeast winds at level 6 - 7, gusts at level 8 - 9, strong rough seas; waves 4 - 6m high.
In addition, on January 8, day and night, the South China Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone) will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
On January 9th, day and night, the sea area from Gia Lai to Dak Lak, the North and Central East Sea (including Hoang Sa special zone) will have strong northeast winds at level 6, gusts at level 7-8; waves 2 - 5m high, rough seas.
The sea area from Khanh Hoa to Ca Mau and the South East Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone) have strong northeast winds of level 6, sometimes level 7, gusts of level 8 - 9; sea waves are 3 - 5m high, rough seas.
The meteorological agency warns that the level of natural disaster risk at sea is level 2. All ships operating in the above areas are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and big waves.
