According to the bulletin issued at 2:16 p.m. from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently, on satellite images, lightning positioning data and weather radar images, convective clouds are forming right in Gia Lam district, Long Bien district, Hoang Mai. The cloud area tends to move westward and expand further.
Warning that in the next 10 minutes to 3 hours, the areas of Gia Lam district, Long Bien district, Hoang Mai will have showers and thunderstorms, then spread to Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung districts and other inner-city districts in the center of Hanoi city. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The meteorological agency also said that due to the impact of storm No. 1, some other areas will also have rain.
From the evening of June 12 to June 13, the area from Ha Tinh to Thua Thien Hue will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall from 100 - 180mm, some places over 350mm.
In the evening and night of June 12, the area from Da Nang to Quang Ngai and southern Nghe An will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 40 - 90mm, some places over 150mm.
The northern Central Highlands and Binh Dinh will have moderate rain, locally heavy rain with common rainfall of 15 - 30mm, some places over 50mm.
