The North Central region from early morning of May 29 to the morning of May 30 is forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 30 - 60mm, locally over 100mm.
In the South Central region in the late afternoon and evening of May 28, there will be showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with common rainfall from 15 - 30mm, some places over 60mm.
The Central Highlands and the South from the afternoon of May 28 to May 29 are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 30 - 60mm, locally over 100mm. The rain will be concentrated in the afternoon and evening.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns of the risk of local heavy rain (rainfall greater than 100mm within 3 hours). During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain is level 1.
Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes.
