The Northern region and the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue city from March 24 to March 27, it is forecast to have light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny in the afternoon.
The lowest common temperature is about 21 - 24 degrees C, in some places below 20 degrees C. The highest temperature is about 27 - 30 degrees C; especially in the Northwest region 31 - 34 degrees C, in some places above 34 degrees C.
In the period from March 28 - 29, the Northern mountainous region is forecast to have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. Rain during the seasonal transition period poses a risk of dangerous phenomena accompanying thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Previously, thunderstorms and tornadoes occurred on March 21-22, causing damage in Lao Cai, Lai Chau and Dien Bien provinces. Natural disasters injured 2 people (in Lao Cai), 1 house collapsed and 824 houses had their roofs blown off and damaged. In addition, about 173.7ha of crops and fruit trees were affected. Some works such as power poles, schools, and cultural houses were also damaged. Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, local authorities mobilized forces to support people to overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives.
In the afternoon of March 22, widespread thunderstorms appeared in some provinces such as: Son La, Phu Tho and Lao Cai. Many areas recorded hail with drops of 1 - 3cm in diameter.
From March 30, the Northwest and western mountainous areas from Thanh Hoa to Hue city, the weather will change, with hot sun in some places with the highest temperature reaching 35 degrees Celsius.
Other areas this week (from now until March 29), forecast sunny days, especially the Southeast region has hot sunny places; showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night. The meteorological agency warns that there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.
