From the evening of May 16 to May 17, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa are forecast to have showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10 - 30mm, some places over 60mm. Rain will be concentrated in the evening, night and morning.
In particular, the Northwest region and the provinces of Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen will have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain to very heavy rain with rainfall from 20 - 40mm, some places over 80mm.
From the evening of May 17 to the night of May 18, the Northern region and Thanh Hoa are forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. The mountainous and midland areas of the North will have common rainfall from 40 - 90mm, some places over 150mm.
