According to data from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and this morning (October 6), the area from Thua Thien Hue to Phu Yen and the South had scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain.

In the area from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the South, on the day and night of October 6, there is forecast to be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 15 - 30mm, locally over 70mm.

The area from Southern Nghe An to Thua Thien Hue from the night of October 6 to October 7 is forecast to have moderate rain and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy to very heavy rain. Rainfall is from 20 - 40mm, some places have over 100mm. Warning of the risk of localized heavy rain (greater than 100mm/6 hours).

The meteorological agency warns that thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams; and landslides on steep slopes.

Regarding sea weather, currently the central East Sea area, the southern East Sea area (including the Truong Sa archipelago), the sea area from Quang Tri to Ninh Thuan and the Gulf of Thailand have showers and thunderstorms.

Forecast for the day and night of October 6, the central East Sea area, the southern East Sea area (including the waters of Truong Sa archipelago), the waters from Quang Tri to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

From the night of October 6, the southern sea area of ​​the Gulf of Tonkin will have scattered showers and thunderstorms.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind level 7 - 8.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
