The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has updated the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow (August 23) in regions across the country.

The Northeast region, the south of Phu Tho and Thanh Hoa provinces will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain.

Especially the Quang Ninh and Hai Phong areas have very heavy rain; Lang Son and Bac Ninh have heavy to very heavy rain.

The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in the late afternoon and evening, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Hanoi City

Lowest temperature: 24-26 degrees C.

Highest temperature: 28-30 degrees C.

Cloudy, with moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. West to Northwest wind level 2-3. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Northwest

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees C, in some places below 22 degrees C.

Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees C, in some places above 33 degrees C.

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Light wind. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Northeast

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees C, mountainous areas in some places below 22 degrees C.

Highest temperature: 27-30 degrees C, in some places above 31 degrees C.

Cloudy, with moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain in some places (especially Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong City have heavy to very heavy rain). West to Northwest wind level 2-3; especially coastal Quang Ninh - Hai Phong level 6-7, gusts level 8-9. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Thanh Hoa to Hue

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees C.

Highest temperature: North 30-33 degrees C; South 33-35 degrees C, in some places above 35 degrees C.

The North (Thanh Hoa and Nghe An) has showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain. The South is cloudy, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night; sunny during the day, hot in some places. West to Southwest wind level 2-3. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

South Central Coast

Lowest temperature: 26-29 degrees C.

Highest temperature: 33-36 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C.

Cloudy, showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night; hot sunny day, with intense hot sun in some places. Southwest wind level 2-3. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Central Highlands

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees C.

Highest temperature: 28-31 degrees C, in some places above 32 degrees C.

Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in the late afternoon and evening, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms. Southwest wind level 2-3. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
